You wait until she has walked the Coast to Coast which to be filmed in Summer, ready for Autumn viewing. Although I've done it 4 times now 8)

I think Striding Edge is a bit over-rated and are better Lakeland Ridges, such as High Stile and Cat-Bells. The only good thing I like about Striding Edge is, the scramble up. But not very good on a windy/wet day.

aye your right there, i was on catbells years ago with some of the patients from work and the carlisle air show was on,the red arrows passed lower than we were standing.by the way where's that quote from bout the cigar.

Yes, the views from Catbells looking down to Keswick are really good on a clear day and not too hard to climb.

well the ariel photography was stunning but as you would expect the rain spoilt the day,catbells next week.

I still fancy the idea of doing the Coast to Coast with a mountain bike, a bit similar to Wheelwrights route But following Coast to Coast walk route more closely, using the bridleway and tracks where permitted. I have route outlined and may do this hopefully in September.

lots of bridleways ive been looking for end up being unrideable so youd have to have plenty of contingincey (is that right?) plans.years back my mate planed route for us in lakes on bridleways and there were sections where we had to lower bikes and drop and catch em,must had claver bl##dy horses eh?
