The Reivers – dreaming

Postby GrahamL on Mon Oct 19, 2009 2:07 pm

hi

I’m starting my regular winter time ‘let’s dream about what I can do next year’ – this dreaming will persist until about next May when things start warming up and I can peddle out without freezing me bits of.

So, looking towards next year
Do’s anyone have a GPX of the Reivers way, I was thinking starting at Stranraer peddling down the Solway coast then joining the Reivers somewhere past Gretna. I’ve done part of the Solway on route 7, that was a nice ride and if the first part from Stranraer is as good will make a nice section. The Reivers through Kielder is I’ve been told also a nice ride, I’m salivating already.
I could of course buy the Reivers map but if I bought a map for every possible trip I looked at ------ I’d have far too many maps.

So do’s anyone have a GPX of the Reivers way – or a comment on the (possible) plan

Sorry don't have a gpx of it. The Kielder section is excellent and quite challenging if you take the offroad routes. I did it W-E in late March in fairly changeable weather!

Thanks for the replies, nice pics & the link was useful I’ve wasted an afternoon on Bikely and came up with this still work in progress but I think the route might be good.

The weather forecast isn't particularly great this week  so I won’t be out on the bike – could well be wasting a bit more time on Bikely
