I've planned a route around the North/East Yorkshire area and seems around the Driffield area, seems a lack of basic campsites. The ones around this area tend to be camping parks for famlies and nice prices, one is £15 (low season).

Oh well, I think it's looking like a double Coast to Coast again.

Disco, MemoryMap is the software you can plot routes and transer to the GPS and vice versa.

I need a route that will can me from a Saturday start to finish mid-week, then I need to be at the York Cycle Show for Friday afternoon.

I've just worked out the mileage for this one and is a 150 round trip. it will be on a Mountain Bike, due the fact the North York Moors as some good bridleways. many of these I've discovered in my long distance walking days.

So what I'm looking for to balance the books, is a MTB route and a road route. but don't forget I will be hopefully doing the C2C this year, as you can see from my 1st stamp-card in 1997. I'm due in. Surprised

Yeh Stokesley - Whitby is going to be a day job setting off early doors....the ride date is set and I'm doing a route recce in my winter hols just to get it onto GPS so I can upload to memorymap and to sort out resting points. The only thing I need to sort out with the guys who are joining in is the start time and what pub we'll be having a "ride debrief" in Wink .
