whats your trusty steed like?ive a dave yates diablo 731 i had custom made in the 80s and is still good as new and a schwinn rocket full susser complete with xt groupset and hope c2 discs.

is that a gps on the bars of the racer/ive got garmin etrex and the cable to connect it to pc but am clueless what to do to load stuff to it.

denny, don't you bother with race-blades on your Giant. I not really keen on my race-blades, may get the SKS full mudguards when I get around to it.

I love Brook's, always been a firm favorite with me. I had a Brook's B17 Standard when I first started out cycle touring about 27 years. But sadly started to lose it's shape, so got a Brook's B17 Standard in colour Honey. That is on the mountain Bike now and the colour is now a lovely Horse Chestnut Brown. The Brook's which is pictured is a Brook's B17 Flyer and that is very comfortable, once it's broken in ofcause.

Tried them on me roadie and they wouldn't fit because of the aero fork and the rear one kept rubbing on the tyre....£35 down the drain, I was not a happy bunny.

Have just ordered some SKS chromoplastic full length guards from wiggle and am eagerly awaiting the arrival of them as the roadie is out of use until I get 'em.

Thanks for the link. But I'm sure LBS in Bridge Road can supply SKS. I see what you are saying about race-blades on the Aero forks, which can be a bi**h to fit. I take it you have mudguard clearance on the Giant.

Oh yeah, as the race blades would go under my brake calipers (they have a 49mm drop, whatever that means!!) and I've been to Bridge road and I've asked them I've got 700c x 23 tyres what mudguards will fit? the ones they sold me came nowhere near fitting!!! So that was my only visit to that LBS...apart from going back to get my money back!!

I prefer to either go on-line or to Biketraks in Gt. Ayton where I got my SCR4 from... www.biketraks.co.uk
