Recommendations for transport from Tyne & Wear to Ravenglass

Postby fuggsy on Mon Feb 02, 2009 8:45 pm

Hi
I've done the C2C a few times now and thought I'd go for a bit of different scenery.

I'm organising a charity ride for 11 colleagues of mixed ability so have opted to do Hadrian's Cycleway in June, going from west to east.

Not sure I'll be able to get a couple of drivers to van us and the bikes over to the start in Ravenglass.

Wondering if anyone has a recommendation for specialist bikes taxis/transport to get us the one-way from Sunderland over to Ravenglass.

Cheers
Fuggsy

Bike Bus recommendation

Postby fuggsy on Tue Feb 03, 2009 8:56 am

Fantastic - thanks.
Have used Stanley coaches many times for taxis - didn't think to check for a web-site!
I've asked for a quote and will see how we do.

Hey - good work keeping this forum going. In my favourites now I know it's here.

Regards

Check out this on the Hadrian's Cycleway website which gives info on several other companies that do cycle transport.

Recommendations for transport from Tyne & Wear to Ravenglass

Postby fuggsy on Fri Mar 06, 2009 7:32 am

I've got 11 riders, bikes and and kit. One way. Sunderland to Ravenglass. £270.

I 'd c2c a couple of years back and 4 of us got a taxi/van Newcastle to Whitehaven for £40 a head.

Hope this is useful context.

fuggsy.
