Hi Guys!

I'm back, fighting fit and happy.

I say "fighting fit" but my back and neck are giving me a bit of pain. Legs and bum would go on forever, it's the top half that's copped it!

Y Frame did wonderfully. I have an issue with the universal joint, it needs a new nylock nut or even better, a locknut. It jiggled loose every day or two.

The trailer would carry anything you want to strap on it. I've made a big wooden box for shopping, and my orange suitcase carries all I want on a tour. Weight is only a problem uphill. Just engage a lower gear and winch your way up. On the flat and downhill it's a doddle.

Any way you look at it - panniers are a no no compared to a trailer!

Yes, Mick. I'm very impressed with the Y-Frame, enough I'm not sure about the suit case, probably use a Ortlieb Rack-Bag instead. I hope to get one at the York Cycle Show in 2 weeks time and probably sell the Ortlieb pannier's bag's I have at the moment, which will pay for 1/2 of the cost of Y-frame

Hi John,

Best thing you can do is to look at the Carry Freedom website.

www.carryfreedom.com

Hi John,

The CF website talks about the Bamboo, as you know. You can build that with any size wheels you want.

The Y Frame has wheels of a certain diameter (14 inches?), but I'm sure any size could be fitted.
