I use for work/shops/pub is the Carradice Camper Longflap and very good kit it is too. I used to have a single Karrimor Karahari Pannier until it perished with age..
For touring, with all the camping kit. I use both Ortlieb's on the rear and front, the rear being the Bike-Packer Classic, on the front is Front-Roller Classic. I used to have a Bar-bag, but use the front pannier instead. For the bulk of my shopping, I use Ortlieb Back-Roller Classic. For mountain biking around the trails, then it's the Camelbak Classic 2.
I fancy them Topeak trunk bag, maybe one day.

One for John. I'm thinking of getting a Topeak beam racks for my mountain bike for short rides. Trouble is my hardtail can't accept the normal racks, so it needs a beam rack that fastens to seatpost. I will also need a trunk bag. I have a cheap beam rack, but it's a bit tacky.
On the other hand I was browsing on the Carradice site and looking at some of the products on there, such as the Barley saddlebag.
What do you think, the Topeak look's like a smart piece of kit.

Cheers John. I'm going to York Cycle Show in June and hopefully the Extra (Topeak) stand will be there and have a closer look at the products.

I used front and rear panniers for ages, until I discovered Carry Freedom.
I fix a bright orange plastic suitcase onto the flat bed. Works a treat, and doesn't affect the steering or handling of the bike at all.
This is Bike and Trailer at the top of Shap Fell.
