carrying stuff

For anything not covered by the above!

A crate of beer? Nearly a crate and some wine too!

I made a wooden box to fit on the chassis, this takes stuff to the dump and brings shopping home. So long as stuff is packed right, it doesn't jiggle about in there too much.

Spuds, fruit and veg, wine and beer ....... it all fits.

I bought the trailer in 2006 for my double E2E, worked a treat. Carrying weight with a bike is always going to be hard work. With panniers the weight is high up and on the wheels and frame. With a trailer the weight is supported on it's own wheels. With a two wheeled trailer the nose weight is nil, making no weight on the bike at all. With a one wheeled trailer, 50% of the trailed weight is on the bike.

I really fancy a trailer for my bike but just can't think of enough uses. :?

The Y frame looks really adaptable. I have also seen a burley flat bed somewhere, is it as good?

Come on people give me some good excuses for the wife.

Yes, the Y-Frame is a very good piece of workmanship. I would love one, but the funds are a bit low. Hoping to see one at the York Cycle Show in June, on the trade stand and get one then. These would be ideal for lugging the camping kit around. The trouble is deciding what size I will need for the camp kit, small or large,

Christ, John. That boil on yer ring must be big

No probs about the cover, I will just use my old Karrimor bar-bag rain cover instead. Fits a treat.
