C2C for a family

Postby Jo on Tue Feb 24, 2009 11:44 am

I am planning the C2C this summer with our 4 children aged 16,14,12 and 10. I hope to do it in 5 days to give us time to visit Keswick, Beamish etc along the way. I am a little worried by the Keswick to Alston leg of 43 miles for a 10 year old boy with a 6 speed bike. Have any other families done this ride and how did they get on?
