Just stayed here for our 1st night as we were too late to stay in Penrith. Although the guide says they will drop you off and pick you up from the pub this wasn't offered to us and we paid £10 each way for a taxi to the pub.

The heating in 1 of the caravans wasn't working, and we were forced into paying for 3 people who hadn't turned up, although I had informed them of 2 of them.

They already had the deposits, and we paid for the other person, but we were threatened with legal action if we didn't pay for the other 2 people. In hindsight we shouldn't have paid but we wanted to catch up with the rest of the party who had left without knowing what was happening.

I won't make the same mistake again and have decided to go straight to Alston next time, where I've booked the Victoria Inn. Looking at the reviews this should be a better option!
